They call Lawn on D Street and it is a temporary park that takes no tedious city planning on Boston’s part.
The adult playground, was just one of Boston’s urban activity sensations in the Seaport District put on by Lawn on D Street. People flocked to the three-acre site adjacent to the Boston Convention and Exhibitors Center, which was home to 20 lighted oval swings, bocce, ping pong, beanbag toss, Adirondack chairs, a sound stage, and open-air bar.
If you happened to miss this, as it was only temporary…have no fear because they will be back this year!
Lawn on D‘s official website says that they will be back and their opening day will be Saturday, May 21, 2016! So, if you are from Boston, go check it out! If not, it may be worth a planned trip to check out the awesomeness!
How cool is this place? I so want to go this year! Time to start looking into travel options!
