When Peggy realized what happened to her Billie, she was heartbroken, even if she knew he died a long time ago. But she was also so proud that his death was for a gallant cause, and that he was respected and admired by strangers in a different country. Losing a loved one is never easy, but sometimes some factors make it more acceptable and less painful. She was also happy to know that he was not alone all these years. Peggy makes annual trips to his gravesite, and meets with the town elders who remember the act of sacrifice.
