Newcastle Brown Ale

World Brand Design

This beer variety is a brown ale and is originally produced in Newcastle. Today, it is brewed and processed by Heineken at the John Smiths Brewery in Tadcaster, New Yorkshire. After years of perfecting the recipe, it became firmly known as the favored beer of North East England and its iconic status continued to spread throughout the United Kingdom. Newcastle Brown Ale is brewed with a unique blend of a pale malt and dark caramel malt which gives its characteristic flavor and color. However, the very pigment that gives its unique character is the very component that makes it harmful when consumed. The class 3 and 4 caramel coloring, which is made of ammonia, is a carcinogen. Therefore, as with any forms of carcinogen, can cause cancer or cultivate cancerous cells.
