María del Rosario Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart y Silva, 18th Duchess of Alba was born on the 28th of March, 1926. She was the head of the House of Alba and the third woman to hold the dukedom of Alba. She was the only child of the 17th Duke of Alba and María del Rosario de Silva y Gurtubay, the 9th Marchioness of San Vicente del Barco.
She used the title “Duchess of Alba”, since she was the head of the dynasty and this title is the most senior. At the same time, holding over 40 other hereditary titles. She was the most titled aristocrat in the world according to Guinness World Records. In 2011, she was instated into Vanity Fair’s International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame.
She had a dramatically distinct shift in her appearance over the course of her life. These changes were most likely the result of getting plastic surgery done. In her later years, the Duchess appeared to have a puffy face with bloated and burgeoning features such as her lips. These drastic changes are indications of having had work done on the face. If you’ll compare the photos of her from her youth, she looks unrecognizable from the way she looked later on in life. Although she wasn’t vocal to the public about getting work done, it appeared obvious based on her malformed appearance.
The Duchess died on the 20th of November 2014, at the age of 88.
