Madonna was born on August 16, 1958 as Madonna Louise Ciccone. She is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman. Madonna is well known as the “Queen of Pop” since the 1980s. Even before the time of Lady Gaga, Madonna was already known for pushing the boundaries of songwriting in mainstream music and for the unique imagery she uses onstage and in music videos.
