On August 5, 1959, Peter Jozzeppi Burns was born. He is better known as Pete Burn, and he was an English singer, musician, songwriter, and television personality. The band “Nightmares In Wax” was founded by Pete Burns in 1979. The by 1980, changes were made to the band and their name was changed to “Dead or Alive”. Pete Burns was the group’s vocalist and songwriter. The band, “Dead or Alive” rose to mainstream fame with their 1984 single “You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)”.
He is most famous for their band’s song “You Spin Me Round”. He is however, equally known for his numerous cosmetic surgeries. He defended his enhancements by explaining that surgery is quickly becoming the norm. “Look how common [it] has become,” he said. “It’s the same with piercing: When I had my nose pierced in 1973, it was considered shocking. Now, housewives have everything pierced!” According to his own estimates, he underwent over 300 procedures to change his appearance.
On the 23rd of October 2016, Pete Burns unfortunately passed away from cardiac arrest.
