On the 2nd of May 1955, Donatella Francesca Versace was born. She is an Italian fashion designer and businesswoman. Versace was founded by Donatella’s brother, Gianni Versace. In 1997, Gianni Versace died, upon which Donatella inherited 20% of the company and became its CEO. Donatella has received several awards through the years. In 2008, she was awarded the FGI Superstar Award. In 2012 and 2016, Glamour named her Fashion Designer of the Year, they also awarded her as Woman of the Year in 2010. She has also received several other awards and multitudes of accolades.
In 2018, Versace was sold to Capri Holdings. Although, Donatella remains involved as chief creative officer of Versace, which is now a division of Capri Holdings.
In spite of her success, Donatella Versace has opted to go through a long series of plastic surgeries since the 1990’s. By 2011, lines have started showing on her face. Her skin now looks drastically different. Her face is also now nearly unrecognizable when compared to how she used to look. Her nose and lips show the most obvious change, they seem to be weirdly swollen. A number of cosmetic surgeons surmise that she underwent a number of procedures over the span of several years. In 2013, she admitted that Botox is part of her beauty regime. And that she doesn’t believe in an “all-natural” look for women.
