A little-known fact is that Trump’s family name of German descent was originally spelled “Drumpf” or “Drumpft.” It transformed into Trump in the 17th century. His grandfather Friedrich was an immigrant from the small German village of Kallstadt. Frederick, Donald Trump’s father, became the man of the house after his father passed away. He decided to hide their German ancestry due to the rising anti-German sentiment during WWI and WWII. He would say their ancestry was Swedish when asked. It helped that the surname was changed to Trump. Anyway, it would have been difficult for other world leaders to pronounce Donald Trump’s family name accurately if no changes occurred.
