Danger comes in many forms, usually for cities, it is with regards to the crime rate. It is best to do your research if you plan to travel, always better safe than sorry. Needless to say, just because a city is listed as dangerous, it is by no means you have to avoid it. Just make sure you keep your wits about you and don’t take unnecessary risks with your safety when visiting.

This list was done based on statistics by FBI on crimes of cities with over 100,000 residents, collected voluntarily by police forces, though not every city or state chooses to participate. It will still give you an idea of some of the more dangerous cities in the US.
