21. Outdoor Experience

Cloudfront

Oh, to be young again. At Woodstock, they definitely say “No” to social distancing. As a youth in 1969, you needed something to believe in and someone to hold onto and that is what Woodstock provided for so many people. A sense of place and community to embrace the outdoors together. Here you can see these two love birds all wrapped in a blanket as the sun rises over the horizon marking a new day of the epic festival. However, they were not the only ones tucked into blankets on that grassy hill. As you can see, many participants cuddled in their blankets trying to get some needed sleep. It is interesting to think what could have been in store for them on that day. Conversely, as Woodstock ended, so did this temporary era of peace and love.
