Jason Mesnick’s season on The Bachelor was already number 13, and yet it was the one that would change the show’s following forever. Although the franchise had a following already, considering that Mesnick was not only the first single daddy to ever star on the show, but he was also the first to make major bachelor history when he first chose Melissa Rycroft to be his fiancée, then soon realized he had made a mistake sending his first runner up, Molly Malaney, home. During the Final Rose special, he told Rycroft about his feelings for Malaney, not only humiliating her but causing loads of Bachelor fans to hate him, giving him the moniker ‘Most Hated Man in America,’ as well as Bachelor Nation referring to what he did as ‘Doing a Mesnick.’ Thankfully, Malaney willingly gave him a second chance, and she eventually married him, became a step-mom to his son and now they have children of their own.
