American Wirehair

This cat has a very coarse coat, hence its name. It is similar to the coats of some dog breeds, like terriers. The Wirehair coat trait is dominant, so any breeding between a Wirehair and another cat will produce wired kittens. It is not affectionate, and will not back down when provoked. It is medium-sized, but is very powerful and heavily muscled. It can be quite passive around strangers and kids, for as long as it is not bothered. More often than not, people find them to be unfriendly. They have to be patient, eventually the cat will relax and be more friendly.
