This is the largest hybrid cat. It is a cross between a Serval and a domestic cat. They can weigh up to 25 pounds, and are as large as a medium-sized dog. They are loyal, but can be aggressive and ferocious especially to strangers. Having this breed as a pet is against the law in many countries. A notable trait is its ability to jump high, some to about 8 feet from the ground.They are a very inquisitive breed, and often learn how to open doors and cupboards. Most do not fear water, and will readily immerse themselves in it. Savannahs may either chirp (from the Serval father), meow, or produce a sound which is a mixture of the two.
