While not exactly dangerous, this cat is very territorial which can make it difficult at times. Nature designed this cat for survival, its instincts are very strong. They are friendly with their owners, but are cautious with strangers. They are also fearless, and will defend its territory with all it has got. They are calm and quiet, so it will take something outrageous to irritate it. It is related to the Norwegian forest cat and possesses many similarities. They are also used to cold weather, and their fur is textured, but glossy. They can be seen in Russian paintings hundreds of years old, but only arrived in the US in 1990. They are rare outside Europe, and can be quite expensive, around $1,400.
