Yumi Katsura’s White Gold Wedding Dress

Yumi Katsura is a Japanese designer that moved to Paris to study at the Paris at Les Ecoles de la Chambre Syndicale de La Couture Parisienne. This is where she further learned the art of haute couture, and this breathtaking wedding gown is proof of exactly that. This intricate white gold diamond dress was estimated at $8.5 million, and the reason for such a hefty price tag is the luxurious silk and satin she used, as well as all of the delicate Zari work, which is the art of intricate weaving of gold or silver thread. To add to that was her use of thousands of delicate pearls, a 5-carat white gold diamond and another 8.8 carat emerald to complete her masterpiece.
