Angelababy is considered to be China’s answer to Kim Kardashian — with over 58 million followers on Chinese Twitter, as well as a battery of product endorsement deals. She married one of China’s leading actors in a lavish ceremony at the Shanghai Exhibition Center that is said to have cost $31 Million. Much of the big day was commercially sponsored as well by various brands and companies, who all received widespread exposure during the ceremony as the wedding was live-streamed over the internet. 2000 guests attended the wedding, where they served an 8-foot cake in the shape of a carousel, which is said to have taken over a month to complete. The bride wore a full-skirted long-sleeve haute couture dress by Dior. The sleeves were made with organza and Chantilly lace bouquets that took five months to create. The whole dress consisted of 115 feet of satin organza, 170 feet of tulle crafted into seven skirt layers, and a 10-foot-long train.
