Chandra Wilson earns $125 thousand per episode as Dr. Miranda Bailey, a character that’s been on the show since the very first episode. 635 episodes later, she’s still not going anywhere and even also appears as a recurring character on the spin-off series Station 19. Chandra’s acting career started in the 80’s when she was a guest at The Cosby Show. She also uses her fame to good use as she is an activist and spokesperson for the Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome Association. She has 3 children with her long-time partner of 31 years. Their oldest daughter, Sarina, was diagnosed with cyclic vomiting syndrome in 2010. Wilson used Grey’s Anatomy as a platform to give awareness to the disease when she directed the episode “Second Opinion” which aired November 2012.
