One of the biggest off-screen controversies that Grey’s Anatomy had was because of Isaiah Washington. Being introduced as one of the original cast members of the show with his role as Dr. Preston Burke, he had a good run on the show and was believed to still be on the rise until his big controversy about T.R. Knight that got him removed from the show. During an argument with Patrick Dempsey backstage, he ended up calling T.R. Knight a homophobic slur before he even came out to the public. He has since apologized and worked on different shows, most notably his role in The 100 which he was on for 4 years. Even after the big issue he went through, he’s still living pretty comfortably with an estimated net worth of $500 thousand.
