It might come as a surprise to most, but Brad Pitt has actually been dealing with addiction since he first made it big in the 90s. In fact, all these issues are what probably led to all of his engagements and marital breakups as well. He chose to stop drinking after his marriage to Angelina Jolie ended, explaining, “I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege,” sharing that, “I didn’t want to live that way anymore.” When he finally attended an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, “You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself. It was actually really freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself. There’s great value in that.”
