Kristen Davis is best known for her role as Charlotte on HBO hit show, ‘Sex and The City.’ But what many didn’t realize is that the star was struggling with abuse, believing that she wouldn’t ‘make it past the age of 30.’ Davis admits, “I realized it was not going to end well. I got into the acting program, it was very challenging, I was hungover and I wasn’t doing so well in my classes. I thought, “Do you know what? It’s going to be one or the other. I can’t really have both.” At 22, she made the decision to quit, and she’s been alcohol free since. She often thinks, “Every once in a while, I’ll be with friends and they’ll be drinking red wine and I’ll think, in really innocent way, Oh wow, that’s such a wonderful glass of red wine. Wouldn’t it be fun to drink it? Maybe it would be fine, but I’s really not worth the risk.”
