80’s heartthrob, Rob Lowe, is no stranger to alcohol and drug addiction. Having been rocketed to stardom in the beginning of his teenage years, it didn’t help that drugs and alcohol were just a part of many celebrities’ lives, and something he ended up struggling with until he chose to get clean in 1990 when he was just 26 years old. These days, he’s been sober for at least 29 years, explaining that a lot of his success came from his very own wife, Sheryl Berkoff. He shared, “She inspired me to get sober. She’s put up with my defects of character as they call it.” He also said, “Sobriety was the greatest gift I ever gave myself. I don’t put it on a platform. I don’t campaign about it. It’s just something that works for me.”
