Joe Manganiello was known for a few things, True Blood, Magic Mike and probably the best one yet, being the husband of Sofia Vergara. But the hunky actor didn’t always have things so put together. According to Manganiello, “I was homeless, careless and broke with no career, so yes, it was worth it [to get sober.]” He also explained, “Drinking was a way for me not to have to deal with me. And I think that acting was a way for me to not have to be me either. So I could go onstage and not be me, come offstage and go to the bar and not be me. Rinse and repeat.” Thankfully he’s been sober for almost two decades and has never looked back.
