John Legend is only one of 15 people to have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony, collectively known as EGOT. He is also known for his stint as one of the coaches of The Voice USA. Just like Shakira, you could tell this guy had brains. While he was more subtle than the other coaches, his remarks were really intelligent. This music producer received scholarships from Morehouse College and Georgetown University, and turned down an offer to attend Harvard. He decided to enroll in the University of Pennsylvania where he focused on African-American literature. This celebrity is multi-talented. Not all intelligent people are lucky enough to do what their heart tells them. Most seem to follow their brains more often than not. But Legend followed his heart, and succeeded in turning it into a profitable career.
