With the arguments in place, the jury had finally come to a decision. They thought long and hard about their decision and they finally decided that the McFarlands were to be awarded $3.25 million. This may not have gotten them their son back, but it definitely helped them feel better knowing that the law was on their side and that justice was finally served for little Gabriel. The next time they do decide to adopt, they now know better. More importantly, they know that the law can actually be on their side.
