Because cancer is a very serious illness that can lead to death for some, it’s no surprise that it causes children to feel extremely unwell. Most children that have blood cancer are exceedingly lethargic, feverish, lack energy, tend to sleep more, and have no real interest in food or in anything that normally used to excite them. If you notice that your child has been extra weary and lacks focus, along with any other symptom on this list, be sure to bring them to their pediatrician to try to figure out if they are suffering from something more routine, or if it is being caused by a condition as serious as leukemia.
