More common signs of leukemia like bruising, bleeding easily and frequent nosebleeds are warning signs of leukemia. But another one that is not as noticeable is petechiae. Petechiae may look like a rash, but it is actually red spots that are formed due to the capillaries – which are tiny blood vessels – to break beneath the surface of the skin. Since leukemia lessens the amount of platelets within the blood, they can’t seal off these broken vessels, hence causing them to make tiny red marks.
