5. Swollen Lymph Nodes

The lymph nodes are glands that are found all around the body that are considered an integral part of the immune system. They help fight bacteria, viruses and illness, which is why they become swollen and painful as they ‘work to filter out the ‘bad’ cells.’ Normally they can be felt around the neck, throat, armpits and groin because these areas are where some of the glands have clusters, making them easier to see and feel.
