If you happen to be a Star Wars fan, you should already have an idea of how amazing it is to have your very own Mandalorian armor, am I right? I mean, who doesn’t want to wear the beskar’gam or the Mandalorian warriors’ Iron skin. The iconic helmet, cool jetpack, and very sleek weaponry make it even more remarkable, which can make the dreams of those Star Wars fans come true.

Ever since the armor made its appearance on the different Star Wars movies, the business industry kept making these Mandalorian toys, costumes, and collectibles for die-hard fans to enjoy.

But the perfect Mandalorian armor is somehow pricey when you buy it from the store. It would be best if you know how to create a homemade Mandalorian armor for you to wear on special occasions like a cosplay gathering or during Halloween. Thinking about building your Mandalorian armor would seem challenging, right? Well, don’t be deceived.

Making a DIY Mandalorian armor is not that hard. You need to follow these specific steps.

First of all, you need these materials:

  • EVA Foam
  • Tape
  • Old straps
  • Black shirt
  • Craft foam
  • Marker
  • Paint
  • Glue sticks
  • Paint
  • Scissors
  • Cutter
  • Respirator mask
  • Goggles
  • Razor blades
  • Flame torch

If you already have these materials, you are now ready to make your DIY Mandalorian armor.

The first step is to draw the armor on the foam and then cut it into pieces using your razor blades or your box cutter. After having the different parts of your armor, try to bend the EVA foam using your flame torch. Try to heat it evenly, and if it reaches the perfect curve for your body, then that would be enough.

After that, use your tape and place it like a zebra stripe on your armor. That way, you will create that ribs and the stomach form on your armor to make it look cool. Paint the armor using whatever color you want and let it dry. Make sure to use one dominant color for your whole armor. If the paint is dried up, remove the tape from the EVA foam and look if the paint is evenly placed like the zebra stripes.

The next thing to do is use the craft foam and glue sticks to attach them all together. Get your old straps and glue them on the edges of your armor so that you can wear them.

After that, cut your black shirt with the same size as your shoulder armor. Then use your glue stick to attach it to the armor to cover up the messy glue. For the last step, attach the rest of the armor to your black shirt and wear it.

There you have it! You already have your Mandalorian armor ready to be worn for your cosplay event. If you wish to have the complete set with a helmet and the jetpack, you can try searching for DIY Mandalorian armor and jetpack on the internet to complete your Star Wars look.
