Ironic that the name of this bridge includes a word you would otherwise never want to use to describe something you cross, danger. But despite a part of its title, the Hardanger Bridge is anything but dangerous. The 4,500-foot long bridge that connects Ullensvang and Ulvik in Norway is very strong and sturdy, two sides that before could only be reached via ferry. And while the bridge isn’t treacherous, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t scary. If you don’t think so, just try standing on one of the sides while gazing into the chilly water below.
