Honestly, it would take a lot of courage and zero regard for one’s well-being to brave going across this bridge of woven grass. With 118-feet in length and 60-feet above the ground, the Keshwa Chaca Bridge in Peru is also the oldest surviving Inca rope bridge. The rope was made by Incan women braiding thin ropes together, which are later taken over by the men who braid them into thicker, stronger rope, a 500-year old tradition. Incredibly, people are still allowed to cross this bridge but for those that aren’t that daring, there’s actually a steel bridge nearby that they can use instead.
