When the news came to light that Nadya already had 6 children prior to the octuplets, and that she was struggling to make ends meet, many reacted negatively. Plus the fact that all her kids came from the IVF procedure made matters even worse. Many believed she was just out for notoriety, or record-breaking. Several shamed her for her pregnancy, saying it was irresponsible parenting. This shocked Nadya, it was not what she expected at all. She had to turn the story around, she once again was desperate.
