Because of the negative attention Nadya was getting, her life was heading downhill. Struggling financially already, she had to face disapproval wherever she went. She had to apply for welfare, it seemed the world was against her. Rumors started to spread that she was mistreating her children. It seemed logical that a financially distraught single mom could not properly care for her children, particularly 14 of them. Child Protective Service decided to investigate. Fortunately, they found no truth to the rumors circulating around. But a person that would affect Nadya’s life disagreed.
