This video put out by Nature Valley Canada is simply wonderful. Three generations were asked how they spent their summers. The video is a clear eye opener that today’s generation is missing out on what life is all about.
Kids today spent most of their time on electronic devices. Phones, tablets, computers and video game consoles. Children should be spending their time being creative, playing outside and exploring the world around them, much like their parents and grandparents did.
This is such a great video to share with your children. I personally shared this video with my four children and we actually put a new household rule in place because of it. Every morning the children come downstairs and place their electronic devices into a bin, they are not to be touched until later in the evening when they are allowed a half hour of usage.
Get those kids playing outside like we used to as children!
