Beach blankets are a must-have at the beach, especially if you’re looking to tan. However, it comes with a variety of problems, not the least of which is sand being kicked over it by accident from people walking. Instead of a blanket, bust out a fitted sheet, put your beach bag, coolers, and other anchors in the four corners, and you’ve got your own private Egyptian cotton oasis on the beach. If you have newly mobile babies, it is unlikely that they will stay on the beach blanket, or even the fitted sheet fort, which will result in them getting sandy and sweaty and sticky long before anyone is ready to go home.
