Magic Milk In Cornflakes

HuffPost

Cornflakes and cereal are an American staple for breakfast. Whether it is eaten alone, or with fruits, or with milk and sugar. Eating cornflakes with milk will eventually get them soggy, and this won’t do for a commercial photo. So, food stylists have invented a different kind of milk substitute. Believe it or not, some use white hair cream for men, with a sunscreen lotion like consistency. Or white glue, like the old school food stylists prefer. If ever they use real milk, it will be in small amounts, usually to top off a bowl with vegetable shortening. Whatever trick they use, the cornflakes remain crisp-looking, and make for a good, appetizing shot.
