Born in Kongsberg, Norway on September 1, 1993, Silje Norendal learned how to snowboard at the age of four, living just ten minutes away from a resort. She then attended the NTG snowboard school, and officially burst into the scene when she became the 2007 Norwegian Rookie of the Year. With serious jump skills, she competed in the halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air, winning the 2011 Norwegian Female Rider of the Year and eventually becoming a two-time Olympian with the Norwegian national team which became world champs in 2019. The Rockstar-sponsored Silje endorses Nike and Oakley, among others, and has also won three consecutive X Games Snowboard Slopestyle gold medals from 2013 to 2015, adding a Big Air gold in the 2017 X Games in Norway.
