Although born in California, surfer Malia Jones grew up in Hawaii where she started to surf competitively, winning the United States Amateur Surfing Championship at age 15. Her good looks got her into modelling, appearing in magazines like Sports Illustrated and Surfing Magazine, while also being named one of People magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People” and Esquire magazine’s “10 Sexiest Athletes.” She has starred in TV commercials for Coca-Cola, American Express, and Corona Beer, among others, and has branched out into business, launching her own swimsuit apparel. The 42-year-old has three children and is married to Hawaii Five-0 actor Alex O’Loughlin.
