Croatian basketball player Antonija Sandric has been described as the most beautiful athlete in Croatia and with good reason. The 31-year-old Šibenik native could have easily made it in the modelling world but instead focused on her studies and career. The 5’10” veteran guard, who also played volleyball, turned professional in 2005 when she signed up for Vidici Dalmostan. She also won the national championship and Croatian cup during her stint with Jolly JBS but now takes care of ball handling duties for Polish professional team CCC Polkowice in the Basket Liga Kobiet as well as the Croatia women’s national basketball team. She got voted as Miss Mediterranean Games in 2009 and put the world on notice in the 2012 Summer Olympics where her looks gathered her significant media attention.
