Not many female athletes can stick you with the pointy end and look good while doing it, but that’s what foil fencer and Brooklyn native Nzingha Prescod is really good at. The 2011 Ivy League Rookie of the Year from Columbia University is the first African-American woman to win a medal at the Senior World Championships, taking home the bronze in 2015. Winner of multiple World Championships in the Junior category as well as a Grand Prix title, Nzingha is also a two-time Olympian, competing in the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics. The 27-year-old showed how fit and strong her body is when she posed in the 2016 issue of ESPN Magazine’s “The Body Issue.”
