Much like the United States, Mexico has a big tipping culture where 10 percent gratuity is the bare minimum. It is expected that you tip at least 10 percent on top of your total bill, regardless of whether you’re in a restaurant, café, bar or other types of establishments. And while 10 percent is fine, anything above that is highly appreciated. Since many of the employees depend on the extra tips they get to add to their basic salary, anything over the normal will definitely go a long way.
