Most tourists seem to think that policemen are the best to ask for tips on where to go, and what places are nice to see, etc. The Tourism Police are not tourist guides. They are around for a specific purpose.They provide a valuable service to assist victims of crime. They even speak several languages to be able to communicate with most tourists of different nationalities, so respect them, and don’t ask stupid tourist questions. Do not waste their time. Another tourist may need their valuable help. If you need help getting around, ask a local to assist you. They will be more than glad to be helpful.
