Tourists who don’t know any better will simply see the famous landmarks shown in magazines and catalogues on the internet. While it is a great experience to see the Parthenon in Athens, the turquoise-topped churches and white-washed houses in Santorini, there is so much more to see and do. Asking locals as well for these “hidden gems” will serve your purpose. Just don’t go to places with hardly anyone around. It may seem like an adventure or exploration, but it could also have negative effects. In case of an emergency, no one will be able to help you.
