It’s very normal for people that you just meet in India to ask very personal questions right off the bat. If you happen to be traveling in India, and you meet some locals along the way, don’t be surprised if they ask you about your job, if you’re married, if you have children or how much money you make. They believe that they are just showing interest in you and see it as a “bonding” experience so rather then get offended, just see it as genuine concern about you and your life.
