Don’t Be The First Person To Eat

Another custom to remember when dining with people in Korea is not to take the first bite if you are not the elder. Only when the elder in the group has taken a bite to eat can everyone else in the group start eating. Since it’s considered rude to leave the table when other people are still eating, take your time and don’t eat too fast. Enjoy the food and don’t be the person who looks like you’re waiting for them to finish as you don’t want them to hurry eating.
