Much like a job interview, showing up late for a first date is foolproof way of making a horrible first impression. No matter how much time it takes you to prep, get dressed and make it to your chosen venue, being late will portray that you don’t find them important. Even if you are trying to come off as less eager or not desperate, you could also be doing the opposite and appear as disinterested and disrespectful.
