This rule is true for either gender, male or female. Even if you have no plans of taking anything further than a meal and possibly a sweet kiss goodnight, shaving your legs is just showing that you care about your appearance. For men, especially those that have beards, be sure to keep them neat and clean, unless the whole hobo look is what you’re going for. As for the ladies, unless you’re into the whole natural, hippie feel, be sure to shave your legs, especially if you choose to show off some leg. Guys might not admit it right off the bat, because they don’t want to sound totally sexist, but they prefer their women to be hair free on the legs and armpits at least.
