Much like being too distracted by your phone while on a first date, not truly listening to your date is just as bad. Many times, it may look like you’re listening to what your date has to say, but in reality you’re thinking about the millions of things you need to check off your To-Do List the next day. Most people find others that truly listen to them to be more appealing and engaging, which means that your first date could actually turn into a second or more. Of course if your date is a total bore and you don’t feel any interest in them at all, try to find it in your heart to listen first, then end the night politely at the appropriate time, without giving them false hope of ever going out again.
