The Swedish Island Getaway

Just before the scandal broke, it was reported that Tiger and Elin bought a mansion in Faglaro island, a small, secluded island near Stockholm that is only accessible by boat. It is actually a 45-minute ferry ride from Vaxholm, where Elin grew up. That is, until winter, when the surrounding waters become frozen, making travel by ferry impossible. The estate, which reportedly included a white, six-bedroom house, two outdoor storehouses, a private beach, a mini-harbor and a boathouse sauna, was bought for over $2 million, and was said to be for Elin’s mom as a weekend place. There were also reports that the property was bought by Elin together with her twin sister, Josefin, but whatever the case, the Swedish beauty became the official owner by December 1. The secluded island becomes virtually uninhabited during winter as the only means of transportation by that time would be through hydrocopter.
