Elin first met the late billionaire Chris Cline, a coal mining magnate, when she bought her Seminole Landing property in 2011, where Cline also had a property. They were introduced by friends and soon started dating. Though separated by a huge age gap of more than 20 years, the two hit it off and were seen together in luxury vacation spots, particularly at Grand Cay, a private island estate in the Bahamas. Cline, who was worth a reported $1.8 billion, founded Foresight Reserves LP and extensively mined in the Appalachian Mountains. The pair had an on and off relationship, parting ways in 2014 but was seen together on a ski trip in Switzerland in 2016. Sadly, the billionaire tycoon died with his daughter along with five other people in a helicopter crash in July 2019.
