Although initially turned down, Tiger would eventually date Elin and within two years, would pop the big question. In November of 2003, Elin accompanied Tiger to South Africa as he led the U.S. contingent against the international team of all-stars for the President’s Cup held at the Links Course at Fancourt Hotel and Country Club in George, Western Cape. During the four-day tournament, the two stayed at the exclusive Shamwari Game Reserve where Tiger proposed to Elin. The Swedish beauty would say yes and though the tournament ended in a tie, Tiger emerged as the biggest winner that weekend. The couple then flew back to the U.S. with Elin sporting a huge diamond ring in her finger.
